Best-selling author, speaker and longtime client Jason Jennings was working with us last week, and he stopped into the studio to give us a ringing endorsement on video . We began working with Jason 15 years ago after he’d written his first book on business and productivity. At that time he was interested in developing his speaking career, and we put together a short highlights reel for him. As a result, he gave 80 keynotes speeches that year. Since then, he’s written 7 more books and booked over 1200 speaking gigs.
Over the years Jason has amassed a significant amount of video of himself speaking around the world. As we’ve developed ongoing video excepts from his speeches, our challenge has been to create excerpts that convey both Jason’s content and personality, without “giving away the store”; since he uses these video excerpts to book more speaking gigs, he wants to give his clients enough to entice them but also keep them wanting more. When Jason speaks, he considers himself a storyteller. The video excerpts we create should engage a busy executive looking to book a keynote speaker with compelling, bite-sized excerpts while preserving Jason’s narrative flow.
